Description
Summary:碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 資訊管理系 === 103 === A Chinese cultural festivals learning system based on Kinect is developed in this study. The primary design principle is to create a highly interactive learning environment, allowing learners interact with Kinect by natural gesture in the designed learning situation to achieve efficient learning and thereby enhance multiple intelligences. The system has the following characteristics: the learning activities and contents are designed by the key elements of situated learning theory; combining augmented reality with a real environment to provide the story-based learning situation for learners. The Lantern Festival is used as the learning objective of this study, and 74 students from four classes of third to fourth-grade level at Shanhua Elementary School in Tainan City are recruited as the study participant. In the experiment, the students are divided into a control group receiving traditional teaching and an experimental group that employs the system developed in this study. To assess the proposed system, a questionnaire analysis, the learning achievement and the multiple intelligences observed assessment table are conducted. The questionnaire includes situated learning, content quality and motion sensing interaction. The learning achievement is assessed by using the t-test for pre-test and post-test. The multiple intelligence evaluation aims to Verbal/Linguistic, Logic math and Bodily/Kinesthetic. The experiment shows that the system can indeed enhance the learning interesting and the learning outcome for users and the multiple intelligence evaluation can get learners related intelligence.
