The application of Sulfonated Poly(ether sulfone) membrane to water elelctrolysis will improve the decrease of elelctrolysis performance by time. Under the different feeding molar ratio of conditions of BPA, 4-FPS, HPS,and PEG, 160℃ reaction temperature and 24 hours reaction time, 60% of theoretical degree of sulfonation copolymer were obtained. The testing showed that the water uptake of membranes were from 32.7% to 42.12% by increasing the content of PEG. And ion exchange capacity (IEC) of membranes were from 1.2091 (mmol/g) to 1.2669 (mmol/g). This study also varied different operating parameters in the experiments, such as pressure, concentration of electrolytes, applied voltage, and preparation of MEA.
