With the constrained labor resources, project management tools are used to resolve the resource conflicts and shorten the completion time of maintenance operations.
With the work breakdown structure, we sequence activities, estimate activity resources and activity duration, construct network and Gantt Chart, and finally calculate the completion time of maintenance project, which is 38.5 hours. With the constrained labor resources, resource leveling is used to reschedule the maintenance project, and the completion time of maintenance project is 40.5 hours. By using the technique of schedule compression, the project duration is shortened from 40.5 to 38.5 hours.
