A Sexological Analysis of Plot in Japanese Narrative Pornography

碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 人類性學研究所 === 103 === Over its history, Japanese pornography has developed a rich diversity of plots which has blurred the line between sexualized stories and narrative pornography. After pornography began to present a narrative, the clever combinations of sexual scenarios and storylines lead pornography to fulfill a deeper chemical reaction rather than solely satisfying sexual desires. As such, this study focused on plots used in Japanese pornography from a sexological perspective. This study applied qualitative image-text analysis. Due to the vast amount of Japanese pornography available on the market, this study used judgment sampling to select 132 narrative adult videos from the Taiwanese websites www.playno.1.com and watchnow.nownews.com. After analysis, the adult videos were categorized into the following: (1) widow (2) neighbor (3) couples (4) voyeurism (5) nurse (6) subway molestation (7) school (8) rape (9) travel (10) friend''s mother (11) assisted masturbation (12) incest (13) drugged rape (14) amateur (15) workplace (16) affair and (17) other. From the analysis results, the following conclusions were made: 1. Japanese pornography contains a wide variety of plots. 2. The largest category of pornography included affairs. 3. Adult videos often include multiple, overlapping plots. 4. Despite the range in plots, they lack in depth. 5. Plots account for approximately one third of the length of adult videos. The plots incorporated into Japanese pornography are constantly being updated; future studies can perform further investigations and classifications.
