The new design teaching hurdles can be storied and help the beginners overcome the fear of the hurdle race activity while facing the standard hurdles. This design is suitable for the Junior High students training programs and can increase the competition grades. The hurdle race is a competition sport that sets fix height and numbers of hurdles at fixed distance in the race. The skills include begin run, begin run to the first hurdle, cross hurdle, running between the hurdles and reach line. There are lots of metal elements involved in the cross hurdle stage and become the most difficult training skill to overcome for the beginners of the hurdle race sport. Therefore, we submit a new design to solve this problem. The design includes the following advantages: 1. The cross bar uses the safety quality that reduces the fear of the beginners. 2. The height of the hurdle expands and contracts to 60cm and 100cm and reaches the training requirements of all learning stages. 3. The hurdle can be folded completely and easily storage and carry. 4. Decrease the hurting ratio of the players before the competition. This improved hurdles of the hurdle race of the track and field applied in the learning of the Junior High School players and gained a good practical result.
