Summary:碩士 === 聖約翰科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士在職專班 === 103 === This purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of jumping rope on blood pressure, waist circumference, body fat, emotional intelligence and attention ability among obese junior high school students. Thirty participants whose BMI were ≧24.8 were divided into two groups : control group and experimental group. The control group maintained daily routine and the experimental group conducted three-day jumping rope exercise for 35 minutes each week for consecutive eight weeks. Subject’s height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, waist circumference and body fat were measured pre and post the experiment. The emotional intelligence and attention ability questionnaire were being tested also. The data was collected and analyze by using the descriptive statistic, independent t-test and one-way ANCOVA. The SPSS for windows version 20.0 was used. The results showed that the jumping rope exercise had the significant improvement of waist circumference, body fat, intrapersonal dimension, interpersonal ability, adaptability ability, positive impression, general mood and emotional intelligence, but had no significant improvement effect on blood pressure, attention ability and stress management ability.
