Hence, the performance of school students’ health-related physical fitness declines gradually each year. For the past years, we have actively promoted citizen exercise, and improved exercise environment and facilities. However, the performance of school students’ health-related physical fitness isn’t significantly improved. As an educator in physical education, I have found that school students sports ability and health-related physical fitness performance is deteriorating. If we can’t ask students to develop correct exercise concept, this situation must cause the burden of the entire people and the country. This study is aimed to discuss the impact of interval training on health-related fitness development of elementary school students. The participants of this study are fourth-grade students in New Taipei City. There were total 112 students who joined this interval training, and were randomly assigned to the experimental or control group. All the participants had to take the tests of health-related physical fitness both before and after the training. The result of this thesis indicates that the interval training significantly improved elementary school students' flexibility, explosive power, fitness of muscle and cardio-pulmonary endurance. The conclusion of this thesis indicates that interval training promoted health-related physical fitness and provided reference for teachers in the physical education curriculum design. For school students, this training also helped them make a habit of regular exercise in order to improve their health fitness. Jiann-Fu Lin 林建福 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 104 zh-TW
