Description
Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 103 === Many researchers have indicated that, without embedding proper learning strategies or tools, the effects of context-aware ubiquitous learning activities on students’ learning achievements could be limited. Formative assessment is regarded as a successful teaching strategy, which has features including "repeat the test" and providing references as immediate feedback instead of giving students correct answers. Augmented reality (AR) is helpful in leading students to observe the learning objectives in the physical environment and related digital learning resources on learning devices at the same time. It allows students to answer test items, access related learning materials and observe real learning targets through the mobile device. In this study, an AR-based formative assessment interactive learning system for an architecture course has been developed. Students were asked to observe and answer questions, and received feedback in the real world. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, an experiment has been conducted in a college course on western architecture to explore the effectiveness of the proposed approach in comparison with the AR-based mobile learning system in the Museum of World Religions. A total of 39 students were randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group. The experimental results show that the AR-based formative assessment interactive learning system for the architecture course can improve students’ learning achievements.
