In such system, the position in the industry or the negotiation ability possessed could affect the trading conditions and eventually influence the business performance. The study analyzes the steel industry in both Taiwan and China from 1993 ~ 2013 to assess the correlation between supply chain finance, supply chain relationships, and business performance. The results of the study are aligned with the financing theory of supply chain finance, which indicates that there is a positive relation between business performance and both the changes in receivables and payables. However, in terms of the market power theory, only China steel companies show a positive correlation with their business performance. In the end, the study has proved the existence of a strong positive correlation between the business performance and the level of position in its supply chain relationship in both the Taiwan and China market.
