This study takes a company’s M&A project as the case study to analyze the performance of the M&A project management. Linking performance management to balanced scorecard, this study uses the financial dimension, customer dimension, process dimension and learning and growth dimension to develop the key performance indicators for analyzing whether the project management model can be better implemented.
The findings of this study are summarized as follows:
1. The performance evaluation of an M&A project management can link to balanced scorecard concept.
2. The case company can use balanced scorecard in the M&A project to strengthen its performance management and maximize the synergy.
3. The study results suggest that company use balanced scorecard to develop its corporate key performance indicators and then distribute them to subunits and personnel performance indicators.
