Description
Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 管理碩士在職專班 === 103 === Free Trade Zone is one of the most popular marketing strategies to attract global investment, but also advanced methods to break down the regulations and limits between different countries’ tariff and custom formality. Through the establishment of free trade zone, government expects it can combine the benefits of trade, products, people, and money together with the advantages of Taiwan’s geographical positions to promote economic developments and industrial upgrading to achieve the goal of enhancing international competitiveness of Taiwan. To achieve success of global logistics management, Taichung Port sets up a Taiwan Free Trade Zone (FTZ) of more than 600 hectares and offers advantages of low-level customs intervention, in-depth processing, bonded systems, tax incentives, minimal administrative requirements, and relaxed labor restrictions. These FTZ advantages are expected to help our customers significantly cut transaction and production costs, create more added-value, and bring along more diversified business models. However, the limitation of policy, laws, geographic position and lack of experiences and software facilities has strongly effects the development of Taichung Free Trade Zone. This study is based on the interviews with senior manager’s experiences, criticizes and suggestions to the weakness of management, limitation of policy and regulation, and the current difficulties of FTZ. They also provide their positive suggestions and proposals to the future developments. The conclusion of my study, I will strongly suggest Taichung Port build up communication and cooperation with local government authorities as well as exploring and developing with science-based parks, industrial parks, export-processing zones, trade parks, precision-machinery parks and value-added Agricultural centers in the region. Hope at the forefront of economic liberalization and free trade, Taichung Port is dynamic and eager to expend cooperation with international partners looking for an innovative strategic platform to launch and effectively manage for Asian business.
