Influence of Kon Wen Learning Material on Children’s Learning Effectiveness

碩士 === 僑光科技大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 103 === In recent year, Taiwan has strengthened its connection to the international market which leads to economic boom and income growth. However, the change in lifestyles as well as the increased Consumer Price Index (CPI) also have huge impact on the function of family education in Taiwan. This study focus on parenting education connected with programmed instruction which help parents to develop their kids&;#39; concentration ability, abilities to stay on task, comprehension ability and resilience so as to enhance logical thinking and self-learning ability, and to nourish talents. Kon Wen Educational Organization introduced Kumon programmed materials from Japan and used the learning method in parenting education to instruct parents to concern about the change of their kids&;#39; academic attainments (abilities to stay on task, comprehension ability, and learning attitude) and to assist parents in taking the responsibility for family education. Kon Wen Method has been practiced in Taiwan for more than 35 years. Studying these cases about the change of academic attainments could certainly help to smoothly promote family education so that kids can become self-learning and self-challenging individuals. In addition to traditional school learning and remedial instruction, a way easier for parents to interact with kids at home and cultivate them with goals and plans was found by studying the successful cases as well. We expect that the conclusion of this study could serve as a reference for parents or teachers when teaching so that they can seek a suitable learning style for kids to study at the just right level.
