Many research works were carried out for the various motors operating under different conditions. The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) is observed to possess the inherent advantages of high efficiency PMSM for fulfilling the operation functionality of the Toyota HEV. The overall structure and operating characteristics of the Toyota Hybrid System (THS) are introduced and simulated by CASPOC software. Then the vector control principle of PMSM is described and simulated by CASPOC.
