The common induction motor in an air purifier is first replaced by a highly efficient brushless DC motor and designed the driver. A microcontroller is then integrated with the functions of ultrasonic atomization, UV sterilization, anion, heating, and shutdown timer of the original product. Furthermore, the temperature and humidity control rules are designed based on the principles of a wet-curtain air cooler and synchronously maintain the comfortable interior temperature and humidity. Regarding the user interface, the interface could be set with the Bluetooth remote control of a smart phone, in addition to the panel control. Finally, a testing environment is established to verify the function. The test proves that the designed humidified air purifier could be manually set seven-segment fan speed and mist concentration as well as adjusted the gear output according to interior temperature and humidity.
