Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄大學 === 創意設計與建築學系碩士班 === 103 === In recent years, reuse of old buildings has been a very hot topic, and is still being promoted. Old buildings include the buildings possessing the identity of cultural asset and those not possessing the identity of cultural asset. Focusing on the cultural asset buildings other than the historical sites, as well as the general old buildings with a history of over 50 years and having historical meanings and values, the study attempts to take them as the research targets. Through literature review and analysis of the selected cases, the paper finds out some suitable design ways for the reuse of different old buildings and for their purposes. The paper also explores whether the reused old buildings, with their original historical values preserved, have values higher than the rebuilt buildings after demolishing of the old ones The paper selects four cases, being four different kinds of building, for studying. Two of them are historical buildings, and the other two are the old buildings without the identity of cultural asset. Making a comparison of these cases, the paper tries to understand whether the difference in identity and reuse mode would make a difference in the design ways for the reuse. It is observed from the case study that design ways does not become different because of different reuse modes. Therefore, the paper will analyze the design ways for the reuse of the currently selected old buildings. The analytic results can be a reference for designers of the old building to be reused in the future days.
