Therefore, the public spaces have become the mandatory checking items when the Barrier-free environment is mentioned. There are several acts related to Barrier-free environment, such as, ” Building Technical Regulations”、” Design Specifications of Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities”and ” The Operation Directions of Submitting Alternative Improvement Plans for the Access-free Facilities in the Existing Public Buildings”. However, the third regulation directly correlates to Barrier-free environment and standardizes the designs of Barrier-free environment in public buildings. This research is focused on the improvement on Pu-Chien Elementary School. There are three purposes of this study. The first is to discuss the rationality of building’s regulations as Barrier-free environment’s research structure. The second is the improvement on the feasibility of Barrier-free environment. The third is the suggestions and improvement on the case study of Barrier-free campus environment. In conclusion, the field survey of this study would be conducted by the current laws and regulations. The rationality and feasibility of Barrier-free environment would be discussed through the questionnaires and the Barrier-free environment would be improved by the result at the end of this research.
