Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 103 === Nowadays, the use of consumer electronics has grown. High speed and intelligent network devices will be an important market for industry. To evaluate the performance of a device become more and more important issue to us. Some products are produced by companies to estimate the performance of these devices based on RFC2544. These products test the devices on layer2 and layer 3. The RFC2544 is a protocol, which defines four important metrics to analyze interconnected network devices, including the throughput, latency, frame loss, and back-to-back. In this thesis, we use a multicore platform to develop a high speed network performance tester based on protocol RFC2544. Our platform contains the basic function such as the products on the market. Furthermore, our design can support on layer 7 throughput test. We also discussed the usage rate on the multicore platform to avoid nonessential waste. Let the system can run more applications.
