In general, the goal of a business is to enhance its operational performance in terms of the overall operational outcome of the organization or its business units. The performance is a combination of effectiveness and efficiency. This research evaluates the relative efficiency of sales units of an air conditioner and equipment agent in Taiwan by using Data Envelopment Analysis. The results of this research can serve as a good reference for the company and its managers. The analysis compares relative operating performance of branch offices, determines whether the invested internal resources are used efficiently, characterizes return to scale status, and analyzes the differences of relative efficiency, which provides managers quantitative goals for improving operations and planning future business development.
