Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 舞蹈學系 === 103 === This research aims to investigate the tuition standards of dance studios in Taipei. Since there isn’t any national regulation on how studios should charge students, this paper explores and analyzes the correlation and distribution of the charging standards of dance studios in the 12 administrative districts of Taipei City, and provides the viewpoints and suggestions on how to set a tuition scale. After the research direction is determined, related references are collected and studied, and their practicability is also checked. By investigating and analyzing the materials, background variables and research questions are set, meanwhile the research framework is designed. This study uses a questionnaire survey to collect the data of courses and tuition fees of short-term dance studios in Taipei. A total of 82 questionnaires are distributed, among them 72 questionnaires are completed and effective, making the response rate 87.8%. The data collected is divided into three themes: professional and amateur dancing courses, charging standard, and charging range. Furthermore, each of the three categories is investigated in comparison with the administrative districts of Taipei. After getting the answers, this research analyzes the data and gives advice according to the results. In the end, this study shows that: 1. The quantity of short-term dance studios is not directly proportional to the population of administrative district. 2. Daan District has the most short-term dance studios compared to other districts of Taipei. In addition, Daan District also has the most short-term studios that provide more than 5 courses. 3. Half of the short-term dance studios opened within the past 10 years. Among all, the oldest and youngest studios both locate in Daan District. 4. The charging standard of professional dancing courses is different from short-term studio. It is simpler, more similar, and more stable. 5. The charging standard of amateur dancing courses is more varied and more unstable. Every short-term studio has its own standard. 6. Courses that charge higher tuition fees are in Xinyi District and Songshan District, for the higher rental costs in the two areas. 7. In Wenshan District, residents over 60 years old account for 18% of the population. Consequently, more elderly people results in higher demand for yoga classes. 8. In Wanhua District, there are only two short-term dance studios, but among all the districts, it has the most contemporary dance, pilates, ballroom dance, belly dance, and MV dance classes, showing that Wanhua residents need a variety of classes. 9. The charging standards of dance studios is determined by rental payments, utility costs, instructor fees, staff fees, student recruitment costs, advertisement costs, and classroom capacities.
