(Franz Schubert, 1797-1828) Meanwhile, Tosti also integrated a Nepolitan style into his art songs, giving them a unique character. This study examine eight French art songs which composed by Tosti between 1884 and 1911. The first chapter contains research motivation, scope, methodology as well as a brief description of the bel canto. The second chapter will introduce the composer's life and his composition style.
