Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育學系教育創新與評鑑碩士班在職專班 === 103 === The purpose of this research project is to understand the situation of middle school students’ internet using behaviors and reading comprehension performance in New Taipei City. Via comparing with the students of different living background on internet using behaviors and reading comprehension performance, we will discuss the related situations, such as their performance between the internet usage and reading comprehension. This project is mainly focused on the 7th and 8th-grade students in New Taipei City in 2014. We used self-made research tools for random sampling and had 800 effective questionnaires returned. After that, we analyzed all the collected data via t-test ,One-Way ANOVA ,Pearson’s Correlation ,and Multiple Regression Analysis. The main conclusions of this study are as follows: 1. The students used the internet quite often, primarily on “interpersonal communication”, secondly on “internet searchinging behaviors”, and lastly on “ behaviors of life leisure” . 2. The reading comprehension performance were above intermediate level. And in different reading texts, the students got higher scores in the continuous texts than the non-continuous texts, then the “access and retrieve the article ”, finally the “ integrate and interpret the article ” and “reflect and evaluate the article ”. 3. People who most often used the internet fell on the groups of the female middle school students, the 8th-grade students, students from bigger schools, students with longer internet-using history, frequent internet users and students of longer using time. 4. People who performed better on reading comprehension chiefly fell on the groups of the female middle school students, the 8th-grade students, students from bigger schools, regular schools, students with longer internet-using history, occasional internet users and students of less using time in the test. 5. In this test, the more time students spent on internet searching, the better they performed on reading comprehension; however, those who spent more time on internet interpersonal communication did poorly on it. 6. Among all the internet using behaviors,“behaviors of interpersonal communication ” could have a great impact on middle school students’ reading comprehension.
