This study undergoes documents research first and applies questionnaire survey accordingly. To achieve the above research purpose, the author compiles “The Relationship between Reading Education Motivation and School Effectiveness for the Junior High Schools in New Taipei City” questionnaire as a tool. We applied the purposive sampling to select 38 junior high schools. Research object are the regular junior high school teachers in 103th school year. 585 teachers were investigated. The effective samples were 432. This study uses SPSS for Windows version statistic package software to proceed data login. The applied statistic tools included descriptive analysis , t test for independent samples , ANOVA for single factor, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. We can induce the following conclusions according to the result of the research : 1.The motivation of reading education varies from personal background for the junior high schools in New Taipei City. 2. The motivation of reading education varies from the school environment for the junior high schools in New Taipei City. 3. School effectiveness varies from different sex and post background for the junior high schools in New Taipei City. 4. School effectiveness varies from the school environment for the junior high schools in New Taipei City. 5. There is a positive interrelationship between reading education motivation and school effectiveness for the junior high schools in New Taipei City. 6.Reading education motivation is predictive to school effectiveness for the junior high schools of New Taipei City, especially to the effectiveness of administrative organizations and principal leadership. This study proposes recommendations for the reference of education administrative agency, junior high schools and future related research according to the above conclusions.
