Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 103 === The Amis aborigines in Taiwan have been doing well in domestic sports events. The aborigines performed even more excellently in track and field. The male representative figures are Yang Chuang-kuang, Wu Ah-min, Ku Chin-shui, Chen Tian-wen, etc. The female representative figures are Tian Ah-mei, Lin Yue-xiang, Xiao Chun-lun, etc. Among those female athletes, Lin Yue-xiang has the most outstanding achievement. This study adopts the qualitative research method and the narrative approach to explore Lin Yue-xiang’s career-change process. Therefore, this study results in the following conclusions. First, the athlete has found her own way and insisted on self-realization. This study narrates the athlete’s early childhood, learning process, the influence of significant others, and her beginning of track and field. And then it mentions that the athlete kept on enhancing her physical fitness and technical knowledge, studied abroad, and broke the record for the indoor 55-meter low hurdles in Japan. Second, the athlete has performed professionalism, passed down experiences and devoted what she has learned. After returning to Taiwan, the athlete started to be a coach and an athlete at the same time. Because of her passion for track and field, she continued to break records. She even shouldered the responsibility of being on the national team for the Olympic Games and the Asian Games. Finally, she became a full-time teacher and a track- and- field coach and lived a simple life. In the process of her career-change, she pursued excellence, brought the female tenacity into full play and adequately demonstrated the spirit of sportsmanship.
