| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 103 === The purpose of this study was to investigate current status of elementary school musical groups in Nantou County. This study surveyed the amount and types of musical groups, the organizational situations and the training situations. The result of this study were expected to serve as references in developing musical groups for schools. The method of questionnaire survey was utilized, using self-developed “ Questionnaire of the Current Status of Elementary School Musical Groups in Nantou County” as the reserch instrument. The questionnaires were sent to instructors of elementary school musical groups in Nantou County, coming to a total of 145 subjects, for this census study. Among them, 127 valid copies were obtained and the valid return rate was 87.6%. Questionnaire data collected were then analized using percentage, sort and statistics of frequency.
The reserch findings were as the follows:
1. Elementary school in Nantou County has the nearly 70% school be established music groups.
2. Elementary school music groups in Nantou County presents the multivariate development.
3. In the case of musical group organization：
(1) Elementary school musical groups in Nantou County majority were not have preparatory group, the total number of each musical group is about 11 to 25, each kind of musical group were vary with the school.
(2) The members produce way of elementary school musical groups in Nantou County dominated by free registration or selection, the most important selective condition were student’s interest and the attitude of learning.
(3) More than half of the elementary school musical groups in Nantou County have hired external teacher.
(4) Elementary school music groups in Nantou County have many sources of funding.
(5) The ministrative units of elementary schools in Nantou County most have provided training places, give assistance in performance or competition.
(6) Elementary school musical groups in Nantou County has nearly 43% groups got parents support.
(7) Elementary school musical groups in Nantou County has nearly 43% groups got community support.
4. In the case of musical group training：
(1) Training time of elementary school musical groups in Nantou County mostly are one academic year.
(2) Elementary school musical groups in Nantou County has nearly 98% were at a fixed time to practice, practice time mostly in 40 minutes or less.
(3) More than half of the elementary school musical groups in Nantou County used the music classroom as training places.
