According to the Jack-up test, we computed the possibility of pour chockfast in dry dock. We found out that if we only considered the difference of the variation of stern tube forward bush load and intermediate bearing load or the height of main engine seat, we would not be able to accurately evaluate the height of the pour chockfast into main engine seat before launch. Thus, we had to find a new way. From the variations above, we knew that everything has effect on stern tube forward bush load and intermediate bearing load. If we won’t to evaluate the height of main engine seat by putting every element into consideration. There would be too many X-factors. So the best way is to use LINEAR REGRESSION ANALYSIS, find out the relationship of every independent variable and dependent variable. Creat a formula that can make residual no more than 1mm. comparison to jack-up test record. The 1mm of main engine seat position offset didn’t make stern tube forward bush load and intermediate bearing load to exceed design tolerance. Thus, the idea of using LINESR REGRESSION ANALYSIS to pour chockfast into main engine seat is feasible. And save 7 working days of shaft installation.
