Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 環境生物與漁業科學學系 === 103 === Studied on the growth (weight gain and length gain) of Litopenaeus vannamei at various LED wavelengths (control, 466 nm, 519 nm, 596 nm, and 637 nm) after 0, 1, 7, 14 and 21 days illumination. Estimating the chromatophores and variation of tissue astaxanthin levels at various LED wavelengths.
The weight gain percentage (%) and length gain percentage (%) had the similar trend at various LED wavelengths. The growth was the most benefit at green light (519 nm), but wasn't at control and blue light (466 nm) (p<0.05).
The chromatophores (cells/mm2) of carapace and first plastron had different trend at various LED wavelengths. The chromatophores of carapace changed significantly at control, green light and yellow light (596 nm) (p<0.05). The chromatophores of first plastron changed significantly at blue light and green light (p<0.05).
The astaxanthin level was highest at red light (637 nm) and lowest at yellow light. The astaxanthin level of tissues rank from high to low were shell, hepatopancreas and muscle.
Thus, juvenile L. vannamei can be cultivated at green light to promote their growth. Then, turn to red light to raise the astaxanthin level, when they close to be sold. This way can enhance the value of products.
