Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 電機工程學系 === 103 === The purpose of this thesis is to design a dipole antenna array that can operate in dual-band for Wi-Fi application. The directivity of the antenna unit can be further enhanced by utilizing a stacked multiple dipole antennas array configuration so that the unit can have a high gain along a specified direction. Furthermore, the designed antenna unit can operate at the high frequency band centered at 5 GHz in addition to the low band at 2.45 GHz. In order for easy implementation of array configuration, the dual band dipole antenna is constructed on the same plane and a Balun is incorporated to cause a phase shift of 180 degrees between the two operating bands. Finally, grounding is added on the back side to further increase the antenna gain. This work also considered 1#westeur024#2 and 1#westeur024#4 dipole antenna arrays so that the directivity of the system can be improved. The design of the demultiplexer using a quarter wave transformer was used to accomplish the impedance matching at both the high and low bands. The proposed designs were simulated and fabricated. Experimental test showed that the constructed units had high gain at both the frequency bands and are well suited for the base station wireless communication network.
