In addition, numerous port cities began to go ahead with diversified development especially developing into recreational harbors with prospective economic advantage might be most thriving. Therefore, it can bring a fresh look through transforming the Old Harbor Area into the tourist one. The purpose of this study is to empirically explore the relationships among residents’ place identity, residents’ attitude, residents’ support and contribution for the events. Using a questionnaire survey, this study collects data from residents in Keeling, Taiwan. Independent sample T test and Partial Least Squares (PLS) method is used to analyze survey data. The results suggest that residents’ place identity after the event has a partial increase compared with the beginning of event. Moreover, at the beginning of the event, residents’ attitude has a significant positive effect on residents’ support for the events, residents’ support has a significant positive effect on contribution for the events, positive social culture and positive economic has a significant positive effect on residents’ attitude. After the event, residents’ place identity and residents’ attitude has a significant positive effect on residents’ support for the events, residents’ support has a significant positive effect on contribution for the events, positive social culture and positive economic has a significant positive effect on residents’ attitude.
