Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 海洋生物研究所 === 103 === Pseudodiaptomus annadalei plays an important role in aquaculture as live feed in the southern Taiwan. Seasonality of hydrographical properties(Chlorophyll α, pH, temperature and salinity),zooplankton composition ,population abundance of Pseudodiaptomus annadalei and idiobiology at three white shrimp aquaculture ponds in the southwestern Taiwan was analysed from a 2012-2014 time series(July 2012、April 2013、July 2013、October 2013 and January 2014,respectively).According to the seansonal variation on population dynamics of Pseudodiaptomus annadalei, nauplii ,the earliest developmental stages of copepods, is the most abundant group in zooplankton composition that could be up to 50~70%. Egg number, body length, parasite coverage and populaiton density of Pseudodiaptomus annadalei reflected the variation in different aquaculture ponds and seasons. According to the result from Pseudodiaptomus annadalei population dynamics. There were significant correlations between the values of temperature and salinity and the ones of body length and eggs female-1. However, the correlation between the values of pH and chlorophyll α with body length and eggs female-1 could be neglected. Moreover, there was no relationship between parasite coverage and the four hydrographic factors listed above. The results from our observation on adult copepods showed that the prosome length were around 0.70~0.90mm in female individuals and 0.60~0.80mm in male individuals. The measured body length were higher in Winter and Spring seasons compared to the ones measured in Summer and Autumn. The number of eggs on the ovigerous female individuals were comparably more abundant in July 2013 and January 2014. The abundance of Pseudodiaptomus annadalei was strongly influenced by temperature and salinity but weakly influenced by pH and Chlorophyll α. In our research, the lowest abundance of Pseudodiaptomus annadalei was observed in July 2012, while the highest abundance was in January 2014. In population dynamics of copepods, during all our study period, there was a progressive decrease from nauplii to copepodites and finally to adults. The numbers of male adults were slightly higher than female adults and the ovigerous female adults were higher than the non-ovigerous female adults. This study lead to a better understanding of copepod farming for high-quality live feed and it may help draw recommendations on how to improve the aquaculture in the future.
