Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 水產養殖學系 === 103 === Administration of seaweed extract could enhance immunity of shrimp and its resistance against Vibrio. This study was to examine growth, immunity and Vibrio resistance in white shrimp juveniles which had been fed diets containing Gracilaria tenuistipitata extract. Body weight and length of shrimp fed 2.0 g kg-1 diet were significantly higher than those of shrimp fed the control diet, when white shrimp juveniles had been fed diets containing the G. tenuistipitata extract at 0, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 g kg-1 for 16 weeks. HCs, GCs, THCs, PO activity, RBs and SOD activity of shrimp fed 2.0 g kg-1 diet were significantly higher than those of shrimp fed the control diet. Clotting time of shrimp fed the control diet was the longest. Phagocytic activity, phagocytic index and clearance efficiency to Vibrio alginolyticus in shrimp fed 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 g kg-1 diets were significantly higher than those of shrimp fed the control diet. Survival rate of shrimp fed the 2.0 g kg-1 diet and then challenged with V. harveyi was significantly higher than that of shrimp fed the control diet after 24-168 h and then challenged with V. harveyi. The transcript levels of LGBP, proPO I, proPO II、α2-M、cytMnSOD、mtMnSOD、TG II、lysozyme and HSP70 were significantly up-regulated in shrimp fed 2.0 g kg-1 diet, and transcript levels of PX、integrin β、GPx、TG I were up-regulated in shrimp fed 1.0 and 2.0 g kg-1 diet. White shrimp juveniles which had been fed G. tenuistipitata extract containing diet at 2.0 g kg-1 enhanced immunity and increase resistance against Vibrio.
