Since various food safety scandals had been exposed continuously, people have started paying attention to ways provisions are produced. The need of healthy and safe provisions is greatly increasing. Recently, the grassroots power has been bourgeoning in Taiwan; a group of young adults abandon their jobs and become farmers, returning to a life of nature and self-sufficiency. This study uses Twoakker as the starting point to conduct the research. Like snowballing, through the new farmer’s introducing, I encountered the female new farmers willing to share her story. With narratives by participants, those past experiences are re-created in which the reason of their change of profession, adaptation, problem-solving and future plan are comprehended. In the course of research, I gradually found those female farmers who came to agricultural village are volunteering individuals that engage in agriculture. They do not regard farming as their profession; instead, they came to agricultural village to pursue a natural style of living. After they went to agricultural village, they perform a “Hannou-HanX” way of living to launch their vocation and develop diverse lifestyle, founding their own mode of living. Under the surface of “Hannou-HanX,” those female new farmers are looking for a creative life in which they fulfill themselves. In the field trip, four points were found out. First, female farmers’ personal trait as perseverance help them resist social relation, social value and commodity production system under current frame. By realizing “Hannou-HanX,” they demonstrate their distinct lifestyle, pursuing an autonomous life. By adopting a friendly way to farm, they take roles as the administrator or caretaker of field to treat the crops with extensive care. They attentively maintain the diversity of ecology in the field, aspiring after the balance between human and all creation in order to achieve a harmonious coexistence. Second, lives of those female farmers are compactly combining with the idea as “farming and aspiration.” By the nourishment of “Hannou” with “HanX,” work achievement is enhanced and work value is brought out as well. Third, practicing “Hannou-HanX” which propels the union of body and mind in their living is those female new farmers’ lifestyle to earn a living, achieve a natural way to lead life, and realize the pursuit of living with meaning. Comprehending the meaning of life is a lifelong process; the pursuit of dream keeps going without an end. Fourth, community or group formed by small farmers holds the same belief in friendly ecological environment. Saving good intentions and supporting each other, together they look for every possibility for new agricultural village. They transform the agricultural village with the belief as “common good;” those small farmers dedicate themselves to create a greater vision of an agriculturally friendly future.
