Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系課程與教學教學碩士班 === 103 === The purpose of the study is to explore the influences of cooperative learning on the junior high school Student's English learning attitude and English learning achievement . The present-posttest nonequivalent group design of quasi-experimental method is adoped. The data were collected through English Learning Attitude Questionnaire﹐Examination in English and Cooperative Learning Questionnaire.
Two classes of the eighth-grade students from a junior high school in Tainan city, amounts to 54 objects of this study, were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group. The results of this study are analyzed with one-way ANCOVA﹐paired-sample and descriptive statistic.
The finding of this search are as follows:
1. After cooperative learning approach﹐there was a significant different on English learning attitude between the experimental group and the control group.
2. After cooperative learning approach﹐there was a significant different on English learning achievement between the experimental group and the control group.
3. Cooperative learning approach can't improve English learning achievement of the high-proficiency level﹐but can improve English learning achievement of the low-proficiency level.
4. The experimental group took positive attitude toward the cooperative learning approach.
5. Cooperative learning approach can improve classroom climate and help teacher's professional growth.
Finally. according to the analysis results of the research , some suggestions about implementing the cooperative learning are proposed for teachers and future research.
