Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系教育行政碩士在職專班 === 103 === The purpose of this study was to understand the current status of teachers’ emotional labor and teaching effectiveness in Tainan, to compare the perceptive differences of teachers’ background variables on teachers’ emotional labor and teaching effectiveness. This study also discussed the relationship between teachers’ emotional labor and teaching effectiveness so as to analyze the prediction of teaching effectiveness from teachers’ emotional labor. The study was based on the teachers in 24 elementary schools in Tainan. The tool of this study was a personally made questionnaire “ The relationship of teachers’ emotional labor and teaching effectiveness.” There were 520 questionnaires given out, 506 valid ones returned. The retrieved probability were 97.31%. There were 506 valid questionnaires and the probability of the usable questionnaires were 100%. The data gathered was analyzed by using computer software SPSS version 20.0. The statistics methods used were t-test, one-way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance), and Pearson cross-product correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. The points of teachers’ emotional labor in Tainan are above the average, and “regulations of emotional displays” has the highest score. 2. There is a significant difference in “job title” on emotional labor of teachers teaching at elementary schools in Tainan. “concurrently holding jobs of dean elementary school teachers” possess higher emotional labor. 3. The points of teaching effectiveness in Tainan are above the average, and “classroom management” has the highest score. 4. There is a significant difference in “teacher’s service year” on teaching effectiveness of elementary school teachers in Tainan, and “senior teachers” possess higher teaching effectiveness. 5. There is a positive correlation about “job title” on teaching effectiveness of teachers teaching at elementary schools in Tainan. “concurrently holding jobs of dean elementary school teachers” possess higher teaching effectiveness. 6. As a whole, there is a positive correlation between teachers’ emotional labor and teaching effectiveness. In other words, the higher teachers’ emotional labor can predict higher teaching effectiveness. 7. Teachers’ emotional labor has obvious prediction on teaching effectiveness. In other words, the better or worse of teachers’ emotional labor can predict correspondent teaching effectiveness. Finally, according to the results of the study, the suggestions are proposed for the educational administrative bureaus, Institutes of Teacher Education, teachers, and future studies.
