Before the experiment, the researcher pretested the child of the dyad using the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test-Revised (PPVT) and the Children Oral Expression Ability Test (COEAT). Then, the researcher retested the child after a mother-child co-reading activity of four Chinese picture story books and four Korean (the mother language of the newly-immigrated mother) picture story books (they read two books a week). During the co-reading activity, the researcher collected data via audio and video recording, andalso observed and interviewed the subjects. Then, the researcher intervened and taught the newly-immigrated mother some skills of Dialogic Reading (DR). Finally, the researcher took a post-test to the child after a mother-child co-reading activity of four Chinese picture story books and four Korean (the mother language of the newly-immigrated mother) picture story books (they read two books a week), and compared the results of pre-test and post-test. This study used the qualitative research method, and aimed to describe the method of interaction and the growth of the newly-immigrated mother and child during the mother-child Dialogic Reading (DR) process, through recording and analyzing the language interaction, body movement, and emotional expression between the mother and the child. Based on the data analyses, the major findings of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The mother-child Dialogic Reading (DR) can enhance and enrich the interaction and emotional bond between the mother and the child. 2. For the mother, the mother-child Dialogic Reading (DR) helped her grow in the aspects of spirit, self-confidence, oral expression, and the skill of telling stories. 3. For the child, the mother-child Dialogic Reading (DR) made significantdevelopment in the oral expression,literacy, listening skill, and reading comprehension. Key words: Dialogic Reading, mother-child interaction, mother-child relationship Li-Chun Chang 張麗君 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 120 zh-TW |

碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士在職專班 === 103 === ABSTRACT
This study performed the mother-child Dialogic Reading (DR) on a newly immigrated mother and child dyad in Kaohsiung, following the model of Dialogic Reading (DR), which was proposed by Whitehurst et al. in 1988.
Based on the data analyses, the major findings of this study were summarized as follows:
Key words: Dialogic Reading, mother-child interaction, mother-child relationship
