Two approaches are proposed : one is to advance the capabilities of design, fabrication and the coil winding technique of the magnetizer including geometries, input current and gap between the front end of the magnetizer and medium. The other considers the relationship of the magnetic field and magnetic resistance sensors to discuss the parameters effecting the resolution and accuracy of the encoder, which consists of the magnetic field shape, strength and pole pitch error.
