The case study is collected the core values of the character education, the implementation strategies of the character education and the difficulties and improvement methods of the implementation of character education.The case study is conducted for the case school, which is commended for the featured school on character education by the Ministry of Education. Relevant information is collected by semi-structured interviews, observation activities, writing notes and documents, as well as other ways, and the conclusions are summarized as follows. 1. The core values of the character education in the case school are dedication, honesty, generosity, obedience, gratitude, good order, forgiveness, virtue, patience, sincerity, responsibility, initiative, abstinence, utilization of resources, punctuality, caution, and tolerance. 2. The implementation strategies of the character education in the case school are classified into the school-level strategy and the class-level strategy, the school-level strategy includes full cooperation, related training programs and demonstration activities for the promotion of character education, and positive culture. The class-level strategy includes innovation of the teaching methods on character education and long-term development. 3.The difficulties of the implementation of character education in the case school is the high turnover rate of rural teachers and new teachers are at a loss; the weakening of family education is the main extrinsic plight. 4. Enhancing teacher’s enthusiasm through school support and peer assistance and the introduction of community resources are the effective improvement methods for the difficulties of the case school.
