Participants consisted of 611college students from each area of Taiwan. The instruments applied in this study included the Meaningful Life Scale, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, and the Chinese Happiness Inventory. The study data was analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis, and path analysis. The main results revealed that: 1.Current situation analysis. (1)The college students have higher level of meaningful life. (2)The college students have higher level of self-esteem. (3)The college students have lower level of well-being. 2.Gender and grade differences analysis. (1)As to meaningful-life, there were no gender significant differences. (2)As to self-esteem, male college students’ score were significantly higher than female. (3)As to well-being, there were no gender significant differences. (4)As to meaningful-life, fourth grade college students’ score were significantly higher than first grade and third grade college students. (5)As to self-esteem, there were no grade significant differences. (6)As to well-being, there were no grade significant differences. 3.Correlation analysis. (1)There were significant correlations among meaningful life and self-esteem. (2)There were significant correlations among meaningful life and well-being. (3)There were significant correlations among self-esteem and well-being. 4.The results of mediated analysis. (1)The self-esteem was mediated the meaningful life and well-being. Based on the results of this study, some suggestions for college students,practice of counseling, and researchers are recommended.
