| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 區域與社會發展學系碩士班 === 103 === The social issue of the aging society with fewer children is highly concerned by compatriots in now days. The upcoming issue of taking care of elder people, senior citizens' welfare, and setting up associated facilities is obviously important.
This study investigated the feasibility analysis of setting up elderly care facilities in Taichung city. This study used ArcMap including nearest neighbor analysis, density analysis, buffering supplemented by interviewing information and graphs to discuss the distribution of elderly care facilities. It also analyzed five factors, medical demand, market demand, safety, accessibility and comfort demand which effected the setting of elderly care facilities. “Medical Demand” is the first and most important factor to consider. “Market Demand” is about the elderly population which decides the setting. “Safety” is to avoid the difficulties to escape. “Accessibility” is about the convenient transportation to facilitate family visits for patients. Comfort Demand” is the demand of exercising and leisure activities.The research results can be expected as the government departments or civil society reference. The distribution of elderly care facilities in Taichung is clustered. The research shows the most feasible location to set up elderly care facilities is West Dist in Taichung City.
