Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士在職專班 === 103 === The aim of the study reported here was to explore the current status of the different background variables and forecast of preschool educator’s sex-role attitude and practice of the gender equity education in central Taiwan area. The questionnaire method was employed for this study. A self-developed questionnaire titled“The Survey on Preschool Educator’s Sex-role Attitude and Practice of the Gender Equity Education in Central Area of Taiwan”. The research selected was based on stratified cluster sampling. A total of 1,070 preschool educators in central area of Taiwan, 986 samples were returned , and 969 of them were valid. The data were analyzed by using methods including descriptive statistics, independent statistics t-test, one-way ANOVA , Pearson product-moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression. The conclusions of the study are as follows: 1. The preschool educator’s sex-role attitude in central area of Taiwan was demonstrated the median score, and most of the preschool educators have a slight degree of sex-role attitude stereotype. 2. The preschool educator’s practice of the gender equity education in central area of Taiwan was demonstrated of the high score . At the same time, most of the preschool educators have gender equality consciousness and professional knowledge, and could practice the gender equity education in class teaching. 3. There were significant variances among the preschool educators with respect to sex-role attitude such as different age, education degree, marital status, service district, years of service, service organization and parents’ sex-role attitude. However, there was no significant variance with respect to sex-role attitude such as position, and join study or not. 4. There were significant variances among the preschool educators with respect to practice of the gender equity education such as age and join study or not . However, there was no significant variance with respect to the other background. 5. There was a significant and low correlation between sex-role attitude and practice of the gender equity education among preschool educators. 6. There were forecasts of different background variables of preschool educator’s different education degree, service district, service organization and parents’ sex-role attitude to general sex-role attitude, and there were forecasts of different background variables of preschool educator’s different age and join study or not to practice of the general gender equity education. The research is done with the hope that it may provide reference for preschool educators, educational authorities and researchers.
