The target group of this survey focuses on the sport participants of 2014 Taipei Fubon Marathon and it adopts questionnaire survey to collect relevant information, including Basic Information, Goal Orientation Scale, Participation Motivation Scale, and Well-being Scale. 471 participants were surveyed. The data was obtained through descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple hierarchical regression etc. other statistical methods for analysis. According to the results of data analysis, summarizing the following a number of conclusions: 1.The sport participants of different background variables education level and the times of weekly running had a statistically significant difference in the goal orientation. The sport participants of different background variables years of participation road race, the times of weekly running and the participation of groups had a statistically significant difference in the participation motivation. The sport participants of different background variables personal income, years of participation road race, the times of weekly running and the participation of groups had a statistically significant difference in the well-being. 2. Goal orientation (task orientation , ego orientation) , participation motivation (interest , competence , appearance, fitness, and social) and well-being (subjective well-being, sense of vitality) showed the significant positive correlation. 3. Task orientation sports participants their interest, fitness and social motivation can significantly positively predicted subjective well-being. Task orientation and ego orientation sports participants their interest, fitness and social motivation can be significantly positively predicted a sense of vitality. The results showed that exercise could bring participants a better quality of life and enhance one’s self-perception. The research proposes some concrete ideas for government and sports associations in holding relevant sport events. This study also provides a descriptive basis for additional research.
