Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 103 === With the development of information and computer network technologies, mobile devices for healthcare applications have become popular. An aging society has resulted in an increasing demand for long-term care. In recent years, there have been a few researches conducted on long-term care system. The objective of this study is to develop a long-term care system with portability which can be used in any long-term care institutions and carried out in any kind of mobile devices.
In this study, we introduced our experience in developing telecare and home-visiting system. First, we analyzed the knowledge of long-term care and surveyed the domestic and international literature of relative systems. We used a modular design and web application technique to implement a long-term care system prototype. We built four kind of basic components for establishing the whole system. The structure of system was based on the long-term care items of Taitung St. Mary’s Hospital, and transferred the paper based medical records into electronic. Moreover, the innovative design of offline functions may solve the problems of unstable Internet environment.
The results showed that users who applied the modular method in establishing the system could reduce development time and increase design extensibility. Finally, we shared our design process and experience for further research references.
