Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 生死與健康心理諮商系 === 103 === The research aims to primarily explore the funeral workers self protection cultivation and practice, occupational safety hazard, disposal of Infectious medical waste, psychological levels, and the different backgrounds that might influence the variables. This study is a quantification study carried out by questionnaires directing at mroticians working in Ban-Ciao District, New Taipei City. There are ninety-nine valid questionnaire had been responded, including three morticians working in preparing room and five crematorium workers from municipal funeral home, fourteen morticians working in private professional SPA service company, nineteen morticians from small private company, thirty-seven funeral directors from large and small private companies, and eleven funeral directors from hospital on site funeral companies. The questionnaire was initially self-compiled and tested by content validity and reliability analysis, with the Cronbach’s α 0.660 in psychological factors scale. The statistics were analyzed by Frequency, Descriptive Statistics, Factor Analysis, and Independent Sample T-Test. The result of background information within self and hygiene protection shows length of service, educational level, living with family, and experience of lethal pandemic disease are significant difference. Background information within occupational safety hazard shows educational level are significant difference. Background information within disposal of Infectious medical waste shows employed company, position, and self and hygiene protection related courses attendance are significant difference. Background information within psychological levels shows length of service, educational level, living with family, and experience of lethal pandemic disease are significant difference. This study suggests communicable disease proclaimed, SOP training for cadavers disposal, social responsibility, and psychological cultivation become dominant training courses for morticians involved in virus and bacterium, which meas practical training of communicable disease and SOP courses, disposal of infectious medical waste and water just the same as health care workers have had. To sum up, no matter in schools or companies, trained more practical than theoretical to cultivate good working habits is not only responiable for oneself but for the welfare of our society.
