| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 海洋生物科技暨資源學系研究所 === 103 === In order to discover bioactive secondary metabolites, we have studied the chemical consitutents from the organic extracts of the soft coral Lobophytum varium, which collected from Jihui Fish Port, Taitung, Taiwan. This study had led to isolation of twelve natural compounds 1―12, containing five new lobane diterpene derivatives, lobovarols A―E (1―5) along with seven known compounds 6―12. The structures and relative configurations of all metabolites had been established by detailed spectroscopic analysis including 1D and 2D NMR (1H, 13C, 1H–1H COSY, HSQC, HMBC and NOESY) data in association with MS experiments. None of the result of cytotoxicity assay against the A549, LN-cap and DLD-1 shows all compounds had significant cytotoxicity. Anti-inflammation assay, compounds 3―5 and 11 were found to show inhibiting activities.
