Summary:碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 人力資源管理研究所 === 103 === Due to the female labor force in Taiwan rapidly increasing in pass 20 years, the issue work-life balance of working female in metropolitans is important for both enterprises and governments in Asian modern economics. Moreover, whereas the dramatical change in economic and working environment the females born and raised in different generations have various backgrounds and experience. This study aims at providing the comparison of which working female in metropolitan balance their work-life value in Taipei. I organised three focus group interviews (baby-boomer, X-generation, and Y-generation) in order to collect the data regarding different life-stages. I analyzed the data by the analyzing techniques in grounded theory. The study figures out, the value of work-life balance in baby-boomers is about job duty and the clear of the boundary between family and workplace, the sense of achievement and responsibility, independence and degree of freedom in life are highlighted in X-generation, and , ‘time of myself’ and ‘working for life’ are important for Y-generation. Besides, ‘marriage’ and ‘children’ are critical interventions for the female in different generations. The enterprise and government can learn from the results that women in different generations and life-stages have different needs of work-life balance policies.
