The contents of abstract in this thesis:
Everyone has held more and more stresses in Taiwan in recent years, including academic stress, life stress, and work stress. Consequently, people need some travels to refresh their minds and spirits. The purpose of this study is mainly to explore the students’ reflections after they have attended the activities of CHAU-A-THAU Village Renew Foundation. By questionnaire, the statistical data indicate the effect as field trip combines with local cultural education and agricultural tourism. This study also investigates whether those students can learn new skills and knowledge from the field trip.
According to this research statistics, in the six aspects of cognition of field agriculture experiencing teaching, the mean of increase the affection between teacher and students is highest, 3.56, and the second is increase learning effectiveness, 3.35. Besides, in the three aspects of needs of field agriculture experiencing teaching, the mean of teaching method of agricultural experiencing is highest, 3.39, and the second is related schedule, 3.36. To sum up, the internal consistency of this questionnaire is acceptable.
Through Promax oblique rotations, it extracts six factors from 25 question items of experiencing behaviors, and the cumulative explained variance is 84.848%. The six factors are named “increase the affection between teacher and students” (explained variance is 28.970%), “cultivate basic science ability” (explained variance is 18.998%), “increase learning effectiveness” (explained variance is 14.760%),” combine Grade 1-9 Curriculum” (explained variance is 12.260%), “combine field trip” (explained variance is 10.360%), and “enhance the understanding of agricultural culture” (explained variance is 6.560%). On the other hand, it extracts three factors from question items of experiencing motivate through Promax oblique rotations, and the cumulative explained variance is 56.525%. The three factors are named “related schedule” (explained variance is 23.746%), “teaching method of agricultural experiencing” (explained variance is 19.708%), and” personal prefer” (explained variance is 12.971%). Through the One-Way ANOVA analyzing, personal characteristic isn’t obviously varied with cognition of field agriculture experiencing teaching.
Although this study adopts the quantitative research and questionnaire investigation method to collect data, I sincerely recommend the future researchers also can adopt qualitative research method. It’s hard to understanding the tourists’ deeply feelings and thoughts by quantitative research. The tourists’ likes and dislikes of agricultural tourism combination with experiencing travel are difficult to display by quantitative analysis.
