Among them, Paiwan people is the second largest indigenous ethnic group in Taiwan. They have very deep history and culture, and their arrangements in faith and ritual are very complete and careful. Especially, their psychic culture is very important link to consolidate the belief structure. The researcher hope to uses 3D animation to present Paiwan unique psychic culture, and let more people understand and see this unique cultural characteristics. Moreover, unlike ordinary static medium, this particular culture could be collected by the digital media with dynamic records, so it will not fade away in the future. In order to combine 3D animation media with psychic culture, this study use the relevant literature of animation technology to illustrate the reasons why 3D animation is chosen to be the creation media. Then, the researcher clarifies the background and cultural history of this study through relevant historical documents of Chijia psychic. Finally, the 3D animation process and the observation of psychic culture are combined to achieve the expected results and planning of this study. This creation dissertation records the detail of the whole making process, including structure of the story, the script, the storyboard, character designing, and scenery making. Moreover, the researcher analyzes the color and compositions utilized in each scenes and shows how this animation used camera movements to illustrate the concepts of this animation and the researchers’ personal viewpoints. Through combining psychic culture and 3D animation, the researcher produced an animation that tells the story of The Paiwan culture. The goals of making this animation is to preserve and introduce the distinct and meaningful culture of the Paiwan.
