In this work, we report that room-temperature magneto-optical properties emerges at the interface formed between ZnO nanorods and Co nanoclusters. The spectra of the optical density could be changed and the field-dependence of optical density isproportional to the magnetic hysteresis. Scanning electron microscopy studies implies the Co/ZnO interfaces, and the extensive structural defects appear to be relevant to the emergent magneto-optical properties.
