The writings not only discovery many interesting materials, but also give children some new aspects to understand the Chinese classic literature that are intricate and boring originally. This thesis starts out on a task of focusing on the view about a creative rewriting, and using the method of textual analysis, to research from four aspects of character, plot, conclusion and the theme. To make an attemp to let children understand that Fantasy School series and Poetry School series have been rewrited in creative ideas of the new age. The following is an outline of the six chapters of this thesis: The first chapter is an introduction. It describes the motivation and objective of this thesis, the general situation of predecessors studied, range of research and frame of chapters. And then, this thesis gathers many materials of journalism, interview informations and the various theses about children’s literature and educational psychology. Attending to manifest that the two series of Fantasy School and Poetry School are abundant in eduactional significance. The second chapter is creative rewriting of children’s literature. It spreads out various statements from definition, characteristic and form’s standard of children’s literatur. And then, to propose an individual point of view and seek a position for the two series of Fantasy School and Poetry School in the children’s literature. At last, through creative rewriting, to bring out the educational spirit in four ways of reason, purpose, principle and method. The third chapter is Chang Man-Chuan and her Little School. Through the creative ideas and attitudes of Chang Man-Chuan, to bring out the reason and purpose of establishing the Little School. And then, through Chang Man-Chuan and the other Little School’s writers writing compositions and popularizing the ideas of Little School, to see the achievements of Little School all these years. The fourth chapter is creative rewriting of Fantasy School series. Through analysing the sources of subject matter and rewriting modes, to show the main three implications, precious and respect of freedom, seeking and realizing of family love and cultivating and deepening of character. At last, to summarize all the educational points what can respond to with Fantasy School series. The fifrth chapter is creative rewriting of Poetry School series. Through analysing the sources of subject matter and rewriting modes, to show the main three implications, a man of great talents will surely be given important assignment, friendship remains unshakeable and becomes even firmer as time goes by and where there’s a will there’s a way. At last, to summarize all the educational points what can respond to with Poetry School series. The sixrth chapter is conclusion. To sum Fantasy School series and Poetry School series as contents and styles in creative rewriting of children’s literature. And to conform that the series books are of great worth in the inheritance of Chinese classic literature and passing the educational point of views. In conclusion, Fantasy School series and Poetry School series show great care in childhood character, literature character, gaming character and educational character. Let children experience to feel for beauty of Chinese literature and connect between young readers and Chinese classic literature. At last, to expect young readers to pass Chinese traditional culture on all those younger generation by reading this thesis.
