Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 教育心理與輔導學系碩士班 === 103 === The purpose of the study was to explore the relations among career exploration, identity status and psychological well-being of undergraduates. Participants were 471 undergraduates (205 common university and 266 science and technonlogy university students) from the freshmen and seniors of eight common and technology universities in southern Taiwan. The instruments applied were Career Exploraion Activity Scale, the Extended Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status and the Scales of Psychological Well-Being. The obtained data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Independent Sample t Test, and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows:
1. Undergraduates’ career exploration and psychological well-being in southern
Taiwan both belong to good and identity status is fair.
2. Females varied significantly higher than males in the aspect of career exploration; technology college students varied significantly higher than common college students.
3. Males varied significantly higher than females on the subscales of the identity foreclosure and the identity diffusion in the aspect of identity status, but there were no significant differences in grade and school type.
4. Males varied significantly higher than females on the subscale of autonomy in the aspect of psychological well-being. Females varied significantly higher than males on the subscales of personal growth, positive relationship with others and purpose of life, but there were no significant differences in grade and school type.
5. On the aspect of mediate effect in identity status to career exploration and psychological well-being, there were partial mediate effect in the identity achievement status and the identity diffusion status, but there were no mediate effect in the identity foreclosure status and the identity moratorium status.
