According to the Law No.18, there must be an addition for preschool educators in public kindergartens. It causes a great change in staff personnel at affiliated elementary school preschools so as to push preschool educators to go on strike. It seems that the integrated kindergarten and nursery school policy has resulted in a new wave of impacts and job stress for preschool educators. It has been three years since the ”Childhood Education and Care Law.” However, there are few research references in discussion of preschool educators’ job stress. The research focused on the preschool educators of the integrated kindergarten and nursery school in Pingtung area. The researcher adopted questionnaire method to collect the data; the participants were 205 teachers and 134 educare givers of the integrated kindergarten and nursery school in Pingtung area. 339 questionnairs were sent out, while 306 questionnairs were collected as effective ones; the valid recovery rate is 90%. The questionnaires were analyzed in statistical methods of descriptive statistics, ANOVA, independent sample t-test, and correlation coefficient. 1. The job strss of preschool educators after the integrated kindergarten and nursery policy is in middle level and the “policy adaption”and “work load” is the highest. 2. The job stress of elder ones is higher than that of younger ones in the whole performance and the dimensions of “work load.” 3. The job stress of married preschool educators is highest than that of the unmarried in the dimensions of “work load”and “interpersonal relationships.” 4. The experienced preschool educators feel more stresses than the inexperienced ones. 5. The job stress of preschool educators who have lower education is higher than that of preschool educators who have higher education. 6. The whole performance ofjob stress of teachers with administrative position is higher than educare givers in the dimension of “work load.” While teachers feel more stressful compared to educare givers. 7. In the dimension of “work load,”The job stress of offical teachers is higher than substitute teachers. 8. In the dimension of “policy adaption,”the job stress of those who have teaching certificates is higher than those who have no right to get teaching certificates. 9. There was highly significant correlation between each cause of stress. Based on the research result, the researcher expects to provide the discussions and suggestions for preschool educators, educational administrative institutions, and future research.
